SCIENCE and MATH Words

This week's words are SCIENCE and MATH words we have learned this week and last week. Students are writing the definitions for you to read!

DEFINITION is what the word means.

PARALLELOGRAM is a word for a diamond shape.

VERTICES are the angles on a plane figure.

ANGLES are corners on shapes.

A CLOSED FIGURE is a 2D figure that you can write on paper with all the sides connected to each other.

AXIS is line that an object spins around.

COUNTER BALANCE is a weight that is used to balance an object. We used COUNTER BALANCE to balance a pencil on a popsicle stick.

BALANCE is when an object is steady and even when the weight is equal on both sides. This will keep the object from falling over.
